The group visited Harewood Park on Sunday 19th November 2006. We hoped to see red kite patrolling the area and we were not disappointed. Apart from a sparrowhawk being mobbed by crows and a number of woodland species other bird species were in short supply. In keeping with the wet autumn several species of fungi in were to be found growing in great profusion. We had better luck with the birds at Eccup Reservoir (see trip report on the Cleveland Group trip report web page) but the fungi were still there in good numbers.

Sulphur Tufts

Fungi by the side a stream at Eccup Reservoir. Flocks of mixed finches foraged in the trees including this brambling shown here.
